Audi Q5 and Audi Q7
The Audi Q5 is a compact crossover SUV, introduced in 2009. The Q5 features Audi's Multi Media Interface (MMI). The system includes navigation, communication, and widescreen entertainment. Other related features include a port for ipod or mp3, Satellite radio, and cell phone/bluetooth connectivity. For towing purposes, a sensor will indicate if a luggage rack has been placed on top of the vehicle, and the car will automatically adjust its balance to respond to the change in weight.
Originally, the Q5 was predicted to be a hybrid. However, Audi had to give this up due to unsatisfactory tests. The hybrid Q5 is expected to be introduced in 2012.
The Audi Q5 has received a warm welcome, promising a future in used car sales as well as new. The quality and safety of the vehicle are without question, so it stands to reason that after lease turn-ins, these vehicles will be bought again. A used Audi Q5 should promise driver satisfaction, provided it has been serviced correctly by the original owner.
Unveiled in 2006, the Audi Q7 is a full-size crossover SUV. One exciting safety feature sported by the Q7 is Side Assist, which is a blind spot detection and warning system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the Q7 five out of five stars in safety tests.
The hybrid Q7 concept was introduced in 2005 at the Frankfurt Auto Show; however, the actual hybrid Q7 has not yet been released. At this time, Audi does not expect to release the hybrid in the United States, primarily because of the deflated value of the dollar.
Audi of America offers a certified pre-owned program, through which a buyer can purchase a second hand Audi Q7 (other models as well) from the dealer, with a warranty. The dealer backs the vehicle and vouches for its safety; it is the buyer's job to maintain the vehicle to keep it running well. This is a great way to buy a used Audi Q7 and still have peace of mind. The buyer is able to purchase a quality car but for substantially less money. |
